Applied AI in Industry – Episode 1: Real-World Deployments in Critical Business and Operational Systems (AAII 2025)
AI in industrial environments cannot rely on trial-and-error: reliability, transparency, and cost-efficiency are non-negotiable. This session brings together use cases that have moved beyond experimentation to sustained operation, with systems that are not only performant but also maintainable, interpretable, and aligned with operational priorities.
This workshop explores the application of AI to high-stakes, decision-intensive environments in industrial and enterprise contexts. The macro focus is on AI-driven decision automation and optimization, particularly where deployment requires real- world constraints such as explainability, latency, safety, integration with physical systems, or complex human-in-the-loop settings.
The workshop will feature technical presentations that illustrate the diversity of real-
world industrial AI:
-
Intelligent human-machine collaboration systems applied in enterprise environments, addressing real-time voice analysis and compliance workflows.
-
Predictive and operational AI systems embedded in transportation infrastructure, where reliability and continuity are mission-critical.
-
Scalable optimization frameworks supporting last-mile logistics and vehicle routing, where operational efficiency and planning robustness are essential.
We welcome concise, poster-format submissions describing applied AI systems, deployment architectures, and field results in industrial or enterprise environments.
Accepted posters will be presented in a virtual gallery and discussed during the live session.
Submissions in PDF format through this link by August 20, 2025. When submitting a paper to the AAII Workshop, please choose the "Workshop on Applied AI in Industry" track in Easychair.
